Learning Trust, Balance and Vulnerability

Virginia always struggled with her weight.  Even as a child and teen, she was over weight. Becoming a personal trainer in 2002, Virginia gained some control, but her struggle with food still caused years of yo-yoing up and down.

In 2014, Virginia set her sights on competing in a fitness competition for the first time and began searching for a coach to guide her through the process. She found Sisters In Shape and began their 1-on-1 Coaching program to begin her journey to the stage.  In 2015, Virginia competed for the first time... and again in 2016.

"I loved the simplicity of not having to create my own programs. Working full time, having my programs ready for me was one less thing I needed to worry about."

In addition to having workouts customized to her goals, Virginia learned flexible dieting (IIFYM - if it fits your macros) from Sisters in Shape." Before Sisters in Shape, I never trusted flexible dieting enough to try it. I lived off straight meal plans, which controlled my life and made it very difficult to have fun or be social." Following a strict meal plan with no opportunity for flexibility led to a period of binging, resulting in added weight gain. Only to repeat the same vicious cycle again...

By trusting her SiS Coach with the IIFYM approach, Virginia says, "I gained so much balance in my life, my relationship with food is different and - more importantly - I’ve learned to trust and be vulnerable while growing. It’s been amazing!"

Virginia's journey with Sisters in Shape doesn't stop with being a client with a great transformation. In 2016, she joined SIS as an online coach, where she is now teaching clients how to be successful with the same tools she used.

"SiS has helped me find a balance in my life I hadn’t thought possible, for this I will always be grateful."
