My adult fitness journey began in the 1990’s. I was a step aerobics instructor - the kind that wore scrunched down socks, leotards, bike shorts, and bright white Reebox! A few years later I traded in my atrocious fitness apparel to teach middle school. In time, I decided to have a family, stopped teaching, and became a YogaFit instructor. After my first child, I was able to lose my baby weight through group exercise and yoga. Less than two years later, I walked into the delivery room carrying twins weighing close to 210 pounds. After the birth of my twins, I lost a significant amount of weight on my own, but I was unsatisfied with my lack of strength and overall appearance, so I hired a personal trainer. My trainer impacted my life in a way I never thought possible. I learned just how strong I am -- and that is empowering. My confidence grew and my physique morphed into what I wanted it to be!

I understand what it means to be injured. I've got compressed discs in my lower back. I know how it feels to have a core that needs to heal. I've had three children and hernia repair surgery. I've lost a significant amount of weight. I understand the frustrations of weight loss.
